High achieving women of color were sold a BIG lie!

We were taught that in order to be successful we had to work harder, be smarter and do 2-3x as much as anyone else in order to make it.

While many of us have achieved academic and professional success, it has been at the expense of our mental, physical and emotional health.

In a recent study Black women were found to have the highest levels of “weathering.” Weathering is the wear and tear on the body due to chronic and cumulative stress.

 
This burden that we carry has also disrupted our connection with our sacred womb space. By age 35, sixty-percent of Black women have fibroids and Black women are two to three times more likely than white women to have recurring fibroids or suffer from complications from fibroids.

This of course is not our fault. We inherited a racist and sexist patriarchal system that was built to drain us and bleed us dry.

In the words of Black feminist poet Audre Lorde: “Caring for myself is not self-indulgence, it is self-preservation, and that is an act of political warfare.”

It is mandatory we practice self-care and self-preservation. The key to this and re-membering who we are as goddesses is reawakening the secrets of the witch.

Who Is The Witch?

While patriarchy has made us fear the “witch” to be the witch is to revel in the secret power of women!

The word "witch" is now often associated with negative connotations, however its origin in Old English, "wicce," actually meant "wise woman".

In ancient times, the “wise women" would gather to ritualize during key times of the year to heal and empower each other.

Our ancestors understood these certain key astrological and seasonal shifts and tapped into these energies for healing and restoration.

As we cross the threshold of spring, empowered even MORE by a solar eclipse, it is the perfect time for us to gather as wise women and reclaim our divine feminine secrets.

I am Lady Shepsa, a teacher, author, life coach, mother and “juju woman”—one who taps into her magical powers for healing and manifestation.

After experiencing a life-changing divorce, I set out to discover the sensual goddess within me. I have spent over ten years studying the spiritual sciences of the African Diaspora, China, and India.

When I discovered the goddess in these ancient traditions, my life transformed! I went from being rigid, and sexually repressed, to dancing on stage in booty shorts and fishnet stockings and becoming full body orgasmic!

Since learning to unlock my bliss, I have guided many other women to awaken their inner goddess through my coaching programs and healing retreats in Puerto Rico, Jamaica, and Bali.
