5 Ways Black Women Can Protect and Nourish Themselves During These Times

““The most disrespected person in America is the Black woman. The most unprotected person in America is the Black woman. The most neglected person in America is the Black woman.”
― Malcolm X
Hey Queen,
I'm calling my sistas together, those of us who bear the kiss of Mama Africa on our skin, and I'm gathering us into a sacred circle of healing this full moon.
We are at the beginning of a major shift and we will not get through it if we do not tap into our power as Black women.Â
Too often we as Black women are the first to heal others and the last to heal ourselves. Historically, we have faced the double edged sword of being both Black and woman in a racist and sexist society.
Many know of our power, but only want to use it when it benefits them. They mimic the way we look, talk, move and our fashion, yet ostracize us. Yes, "they want everything but the burden."
When it comes to sensuality and sexuality, many of us have not felt safe or even free enough to explore these themes in our life. The intergenerational trauma caused by slavery and colonization has left many of us carrying wounds from our ancestors along with our own struggles.
As Malcolm X once said, we are the most unprotected and no one is coming to save us, time to save ourselves!
Now is the time remember the truth: We were born divine and worthy. The key to protecting and fortifying ourselves is to tap into our ancient secrets and power.

Lady Shepsa Jones, Sacred Femininity Healer
I am Lady Shepsa, a teacher, author, life coach, mother and “juju woman”—one who taps into her magical powers for healing and manifestation.
After experiencing a life-changing divorce, I set out to discover the sensual goddess within me. I have spent over ten years studying the spiritual sciences of the African Diaspora, China, and India.
When I discovered the goddess in these ancient traditions, my life transformed! I went from being rigid, and sexually repressed, to dancing on stage in booty shorts and fishnet stockings and becoming full body orgasmic!
Since learning to unlock my bliss, I have guided many other women to awaken their inner goddess through my coaching programs and healing retreats in Puerto Rico, Jamaica, and Bali.
I am the author of three books, The Goddess Pages, Happy and Healed: Five Steps to Getting Over Any Man and Finding the Love You Deserve, and Nice For What?! How To Go From Being A Good Girl To A Badass Goddess. I am also a certified i2Tantra practitioner with JujuMama LLC, a certified yoga teacher, and certified Sacred Femininity Facilitator through Tao-Tantric Arts. I welcome you to let go and let oddess!

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING...

She reminds you that you are a GODDESS, and nothing short of magnificent! With heartfelt compassion and the wisdom of the elders she offers the tools needed to navigate the course of life while helping you to realize and remember, that it is your divine right to have, to be, and to live a life full of abundant bliss.Â
